‘Seamless’ is the latest effort from Glasgow’s Lizzie Reid. Perhaps effort isn’t the right word, when the raw effortlessness of her music is what makes it so unique. Over a collection of ringing guitars, her voice carries the track forward with a smooth realism. As the track builds, and we are introduced to a piano, strings and a chunky drum kit, Reid’s voice becomes more powerful, filled with the emotion of this incredibly introspective release. She explains that she “listened to the demo on the train from London to Glasgow. I had tears streaming down my face. That was when I realised I had written something deeply personal.” Be on the lookout for more over the coming months. -Dan Peeke
